Summer Book Challenge 2010: Progress

July 22, 2010

So far: 16 books. Still ahead of Layli in the challenge ( I think her count is at 15, or 14). Right now I’m on a break from reading, and trying to study Arabic before the school year starts. I’ve realized I’ve forgotten a lot of vocabulary, and I’m pretty sure Prof. Jiyad will give a pop test. Because he loves making us suffer (really).

So here’s the book list, with pictures!

1) Foreigner by Nahid Rachlin

2) Orlando by Virginia Woolf

3) Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann

4) One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel Garcia Marquez

5) Brain Rules by John Medina

6) One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest by Ken Kesey

7) They Say/ I Say by Gerald Graff and Cathy Birkenstein

8) Little Bee by Chris Cleaves

9) Jerusalem 1913 by Amy Dockser Marcus

10) The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

11) Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris

12) Blink by Malcom Gladwell

13) The 6th Lamentation by William Broderick

14) No one belongs here more than you by Miranda July

15) Miss Marks and Miss Woolley by Anna Mary Wells

16) Running With Scissors by Augsten Burroughs
